Prayer Update for November

Ministry Requests:

Pray as we meet with team leaders to plan for 2008.

Pray for a person of peace in the area of Pocitos who is willing to open their home for Bible study.

Pray for the continued growth of the network of churches in Punta Gorda and Malvin.

Personal Requests:

Please pray for our daughter, Jenni and her husband Anthony, as they look forward to the birth of their first child in May 2008.

Pray for encouragement and energy to continue equipping leaders and leading out to see the ministry grow and be sustainable by the nationals.

Pray that we will be able to complete all the necessary things we need to do before we leave December 8th-29th.

Pray for our planning meeting November 24th with the Uruguayans.

Pray for the fellowship for the Communidad Cristano at El Retorno, December 2nd.

Pray for the health of our mothers.

Pray that Carla's mother will accept the need to move to assisted living or have help at home.

Pray as schedule new GAP teams for the upcoming year.

Pray as we meet with Uruguayan host teams that will work with volunteers in the upcoming year.

Pray for a vision team of stateside mobilizers that is coming in December to find ways they can minister in 2008.

Pray for continued follow up efforts in Montevideo.

Pray for our daughter Kristin and her husband AJ as they continue in the IMB process and seek to know the place God would have them serve.

Pray for son Kasey as he continues with his studies at Moody Aviation in Spokane, WA.

What is the Uruguay Urban Team?

The Uruguay Urban Team is made up of International Mission Board missionaries seeking to win the urban coast of Uruguay to Jesus Christ. These missionaries serve from the captital city of Montevideo to the resort city of Punte del Este. This geographical area has a population of over 1.7 million people, most without Christ, which is over half of Uruguay's population.

The Deaf Ministry Team of Uruguay is also represented on this Blog. This team is made up of two IMB families, The Swanners and The Hodgins. They are both stationed in Montevideo as well.
